We build and renovate luxury homes of all styles in Metro Atlanta and in N. Florida on our 30A via our "Seaside Collection". This channel is what we call the "What To Expect When Your Expecting - A New Home". This channel will help our customers thru the Intricacies of the luxury custom home building process during different phases of construction. Our intentions are to provide an in depth view and behind the scenes look at what to expect during the building of their new home. We also hope that the videos will help answer questions, provide the peace of mind and facilitate good conversations to ensure we are meeting and exceeding expectations. Our goal is to be able to facilitate an understanding of the process and to encourage a deeper interaction to ensure customer satisfaction! Thanks Bob - You are so right, and we would love to for you to help us label that video/photo better so please help us out! I am much better at framing those as a craftsman as opposed to labeling them especially as I did that ceiling detail about 10 years ago when I was much less skilled. I guess it would be better described as a modified coffer with a faux dome. - We don't do put very much of our work on UA-cam as we find people just troll it alot for mistakes instead of inspiration, which is what we were going for with the picture. Perhaps you could clarify what you see would be the definition of that ceiling application in the video? In terms of tray ceilings - we find a lot of conflicting definitions online - for example here is a prevalent one - A tray ceiling, also called an inverted or recessed ceiling, features a center section that is several inches (or several feet) higher than the areas around the perimeter of the room. This design allows for the use of colors painted on the trim that can turn a bland ceiling into a focal point. Bob Vila likes to use this one a good bit. Or miriam's definition - a ceiling under a gabled roof at a height part way up toward the ridge having the appearance of an inverted tray All over the board for sure. Thanks so much for pitching in!

hahaha MIG LEO, That was one of our original videos when youtube just started becoming a thing, actually was filmed in 2008 but not posted until 2012. we had no experience videoing and believe it or not still don't. you have any ideas to help? I didn't see any videos on your page?

What do you put on the front of the house behind the shutters, since there is not actual window? I'd like to put a fake shuttered window on the exterior second story of my house, because there is a large space between the second story windows, but I want it to be weather-proof...

Hey, any feedback on the two sided fire place used with the outdoors, any insulation issue when it gets cold outside? any other feedback would be great!
We have put 9' sub walls in a complete 9' set of walls filled in with select fill then we formed the 9' basement walls I tried to talk builder into a under ground sub level could of had a bomb shelter or a extra 3000sqft added to your house just filled it in a waste
No mention that this idea comes from England and is used quite commonly.
